What is Tixel?
Skintopia is one of the first studios in the Scottsdale area to offer the Tixel treatment.
Tixel gives extraordinary results in treating a wide range of conditions. This treatment uses Thermo-Mechanical Ablation (TMA) technology to rejuvenate the skin using pure natural heat. A non-ablative and ablative treatment can be performed with this technology. Instead of using lasers, which emit radiation, Tixel uses TMA technology to treat sensitive facial areas like the periorbital area and the eyelids. Because of this technology, Tixel is suitable for treating facial and neck skin that is delicate. Tixel delivers results that are comparable to deep skin peels and intensive laser treatments, with much less downtime, less pain and faster recovery times.

How Does Tixel Work?
Tixel uses a small heated metal plate of multiple tiny heated cones. This is passed over the skin being treated, delivering short bursts of heat energy directly to the skin’s surface, without damaging deeper skin tissues. This stimulates collagen production, which in turn tightens the skin. For the comfort of clients, a medical-grade numbing product will be used. Tixel technology is not laser or radiofrequency. Tixel technology is pure thermal heat, so it can be used on ALL skin types. This service resurfaces and tightens the skin with beautiful results. This treatment is not recommended for those that have ultraviolet light related skin conditions, have sensitive skin syndromes, or a few other chronic skin conditions. Fee will be applied toward Tixel treatment or other Skintopia services if not a good fit at this time.
