Revolutionizing Skin Rejuvenation with Tixel Thermal-Mechanical Action Technology at Skintopia in Scottsdale, Arizona

Are you looking for a way to rejuvenate, refresh, and smooth your skin without invasive surgery, long recovery times, and weeks of redness and breakouts? There's finally an advanced method of non-surgical skin renewal available that doesn't require extended downtime. Tixel is a new and innovative treatment that uses Thermal-Mechanical Action technology (a non-invasive treatment) giving you results as similar to traditional laser treatments without the pain and long downtime.

Tixel Thermal-Mechanical Action features a patented technology that applies directed thermal heat to the skin to treat imperfections such as acne, acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, melasma, and loss of collagen and elastin. Tixel is not your typical painful resurfacing procedure and can be used anywhere you want to improve the tone and texture of your skin.

Tixel Treatment Benefits

Achieving radiant, youthful-looking skin has never been easier thanks to Tixel technology. This innovative treatment works wonders on all skin types with the following benefits:

  • Skin tightening to improve skin tone and texture

  • Rejuvenation of facial skin, neck, chest and arms

  • Reduced Acne and Acne Scarring

  • Improvement of brown spots

  • Reduction in pore size

  • Tightens sagging eyelids and/or bags

  • Smooths fine lines and wrinkles

  • Improvement of melasma

  • Fading of Stretch marks

How Does Tixel Thermal-Mechanical Action Work?

Thermal mechanical energy is a fascinating phenomenon where you can resume normal activities the next day. Make-up may be worn the same day, but it is preferable that you wait until the redness heals. Both the medium and full ablative treatments are more intense, but ideal for skin tightening and scar treatment. With just one session at the highest level, you will see results comparable to fractional CO2 laser resurfacing treatment or a deep chemical peel. Recovery times can vary, but you can expect your skin to be pink and you may see small micro crusts develop 2-5 days after treatment. Make-up can be worn 48 hours (about 2 days) after a medium ablative treatment to cover this. For the full ablative treatment, you may want to give yourself a couple of days off work post treatment.

What to Expect at My Tixel Treatment

To begin your Tixel treatment, your skin is thoroughly cleansed, and an aesthetic numbing cream is applied for 30 minutes. Once the numbing cream is removed, your aesthetician will use the handheld Tixel device containing the titanium heated pyramids to direct heat and create tiny channels to your treatment areas. The creation of tiny channels encourages better penetration of topical solutions (hyaluronic acid, stem cell solutions, exosomes, etc.), which can help improve skin texture, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and enhance overall skin health.

You may experience some mild discomfort during the treatment, but it is generally well-tolerated with the use of the numbing agent. Depending on the level of treatment performed, you may notice some redness and light flaking of your skin, but this should resolve within a few days. With regular facial treatments, you can enjoy smoother, more youthful-looking skin without the need for additional surgery or downtime for up to two (2) years.

Tixel was recognized by the NewBeauty Beauty Awards in 2023 as the Best Resurfacing Treatment for Wrinkles.

Am I a Good Candidate for Tixel Treatment?

One of the most commonly asked questions during Tixel consultations is “Am I a good candidate for the Tixel treatment?” Because Tixel does not use light energy like many laser treatments on the market, it is an excellent choice for all skin tones. Tixel’s impressive Thermal-Mechanical Action technology has a high patient satisfaction rating, and you too can achieve maximum results with minimal downtime.

How Much Downtime Can I Expect After a Tixel Treatment?

Tixel treatments are highly effective at improving the texture and appearance of the skin. The amount of downtime varies depending on the treatment level you choose. Lower intensity settings result in less downtime than more aggressive settings. Your skin may feel tight, warm, and slightly sensitive - as if you have been in the sun - with some mild swelling and redness 24-72 hours post treatment.

For the Full and Medium level treatments, your skin can remain pink to red for 2-3 days and a light brown micro crust will form for 7-10 days. For the lower intensity Open Channel treatment, you will be able to return to normal activity the following day. Please note that patients who are prone to cold sores, receiving Tixel treatment in the mouth area can trigger an outbreak. We recommend you treat the cold sores as you normally would and begin your oral medication several days before your scheduled appointment.

Typically, clients can expect to fully heal within 3-7 days. This is much shorter downtime than laser treatments offer and is a small price to pay for such incredible benefits. Consider this treatment if you want to revolutionize your skin with minimal downtime.

How Many Tixel Treatments Will I Need?

For skin rejuvenation, we recommend 3 treatments, scheduled once every 4 to 6 weeks, followed by one to two maintenance treatments within the year. If you are treating a more difficult issue, like acne scarring, or you are using lower settings, it may take more treatments.
